McCann FitzGerald LLP announces four new Of Counsel appointments

Those promoted include Alison Carroll, an expert in construction contracts for large-scale infrastructure projects and complex dispute resolution; James Fitzgerald, a specialist in financial services regulations; Daniel Lucey, an expert in complex product liability and commercial litigation; and Seán Mulvey, who specialises in advising leading Irish and international asset managers and financial institutions in connection with a wide range of Irish investment fund activities.

Of Counsel positions are awarded to Senior Associates with exceptional technical expertise and a proven record of outstanding client service. These appointments highlight McCann FitzGerald’s growth ambitions and dedication to nurturing talent to address complex legal challenges across all sectors.

Alison Carroll

Alison advises employers, contractors, and design team members on all aspects of construction contracts during the planning and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects. She also specialises in resolving complex construction disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution methods - such as arbitration, adjudication, mediation, and conciliation - as well as litigation referred to the Commercial division of the High Court.

James Fitzgerald

James focuses on financial services regulation, advising a wide range of clients, including payment institutions, electronic money institutions, retail credit firms, investment firms, banks, and other financial services entities. His practice encompasses diverse regulatory matters in the financial services space.

Daniel Lucey

An expert in product liability, safety, commercial litigation, insurance, and life sciences regulation, Dan has particular expertise in managing complex, multi-party litigation. He frequently speaks at international conferences and publishes on liability risks in the life sciences and technology sectors.

Seán Mulvey

Based in the London office of McCann FitzGerald, Seán has extensive experience advising asset managers and leading Irish and international financial institutions on investment funds. He provides guidance on all aspects of the fund cycle, including structuring, formation, capital raising, distribution, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
