McCann FitzGerald Advises Bank of Ireland and the European Investment Bank on the Financing of a €100m Wind Farm Project Located at Cloncreen, Co Offaly

We advised Bank of Ireland and the European Investment Bank on the financing of a €100 million wind farm project by climate solutions company Bord na Móna that will be able to supply up to 55,000 homes with renewable energy. 

Bank of Ireland and the European Investment Bank, as Mandated Lead Arrangers for the project financing, are each providing 50% of debt. The new 75 megawatt (MW) windfarm, located at Cloncreen, Co Offaly is the first project under the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment’s new support mechanism for renewable electricity, the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) to receive financing.
