Majella is our Head of Residential Sales.

She has specialised for many years in the area of residential property and now heads up our Real Estate team which deals with sales of units in new housing and apartment developments. She advises developers in relation to scheme set–up structures and sales documentation tailored to the specific requirements of each development. She leads a team which handles the sales of multiple units in developments from launch to completion.

She has extensive property experience in the sale and purchase of residential and also commercial properties (including houses, apartments, lands and commercial units), security reviews, land acquisitions, mortgages and charges over land, purchase and sale of loan portfolios and sales where there is an insolvency event.

Majella is former Chairman and a current member of the Conveyancing Committee of the Law Society, the Convenor of the Requisitions on Title Task Force and a member of the Law Society’s eConveyancing Task Force. She is also the Law Society’s nominee to the Rules Committee of the Property Registration Authority.

Key highlights include advising:

  • Leading developers in relation to recent successful launches of new schemes in Dublin and elsewhere
  • Various housing association clients in relation to the acquisition of units from local authorities and developers and dealing with all mortgage requirements in relation to same
  • Landlords and tenants in relation to all aspects of residential tenancies, including compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act and termination procedures
  • A client in relation to substantial Qualifying Investment Funds which involved the transfer of title to, and compulsory first registration of, multiple individual titles including preparing the statements of title and attending to the lodging of the first registration applications
