McCann FitzGerald’s John Cronin Elected President of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce

McCann FitzGerald is delighted to announce that John Cronin has been elected as President of the British-Irish Chamber of Commerce.  As the sixth President of the Chamber, John succeeds outgoing President, Eoin O’Neill, becoming the first solicitor to be appointed to the role.

John is a former Chairman/Managing Partner of McCann FitzGerald and is currently the head of the firm’s Brexit Group.  His many years of experience providing legal and strategic advice to corporate and financial institutions and State agencies across a variety of sectors means that he is well placed to continue the work of promoting the valued trade relationship between Ireland and the UK, particularly in the face of Brexit.

John is also a non-executive director of building materials group, Kingspan Group Plc.

Commenting after his election, John said; “The maintenance of focus on the value of the two- way trade between Ireland and the UK is key to the Chamber and we wish to play a role in shaping a successful future for such trade irrespective of Brexit and its possible outcomes.”
