McCann FitzGerald LLP named Anti-Discrimination Firm of the Year in Europe at Social Impact Awards

Leading independent Irish law firm, McCann FitzGerald LLP, was named Anti-Discrimination Firm of the Year in Europe at the Legal Benchmarking Group’s Social Impact EMEA Awards 2024. The firm was also shortlisted for its work in ethnic minority advocacy.

The awards, which took place on Thursday 12th September in London, recognise leading law firms and figures from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for action taken towards building a more diverse and inclusive legal profession and broader social impact.

The firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy is a crucial part of this effort. McCann FitzGerald LLP’s DE&I strategy, spearheaded by its Head of Responsible Business, DE&I partners and supported by sub-committees in the firm, has helped the firm make progress and strive to go further. The firm’s approach is to work collaboratively, bringing the best people and teams together to solve complex issues, seize opportunities, and create better outcomes for clients.

The firm also partners with a number of community organisations to support its DE&I strategy such as the Irish Centre For Diversity, Open Doors, Trinity College Access Programme, Dublin City University Access Programme, Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities, The Breakthrough Project Ringsend, Black and Irish and Belong To.
