McCann FitzGerald appoints three new partners

McCann FitzGerald has announced the appointment of three new partners - Iain Ferguson (Asset Management/Investment Funds), Adam Finlay (Technology and Innovation) and Gary McSharry, (Corporate/M&A).

About the new partners

Joining the established and market-leading Investment Management Group, Iain Ferguson trained and qualified as a solicitor with McCann FitzGerald and recently practised in a leading international asset management business. He has significant expertise in structuring and advising on a wide range of UCITS/AIFs, including ETFs, structured products and hedge funds. He is a member of the Irish Funds ETF Working Group since its formation.

The firm has also announced the appointment of Adam Finlay as a partner in the firm’s Technology and Innovation Group. Adam advises on a wide range of information technology, intellectual property, data protection, freedom of information, confidentiality, and sports law issues. He has particular expertise in relation to the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property.

Gary McSharry has been appointed as a partner in the Corporate Group. He has extensive experience advising on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters and brings with him significant knowledge in the areas of M&A, corporate finance, joint ventures and restructurings. In recent years he has acted for leading Irish and international public and private companies across a range of business sectors. He has particular expertise advising U.S. clients, having spent a number of years in New York.
