McCann FitzGerald advises the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund on cornerstone investment for €330m Malin Corporation floatation

We have advised the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) on its €50 million cornerstone investment as part of the floatation of Malin Corporation plc (Malin) on the Enterprise Securities Market of the Irish Stock Exchange. The ISIF, which is controlled and managed by the National Treasury Management Agency, was established in December 2014 with a statutory mandate to invest on a commercial basis in a manner designed to support economic activity and employment in Ireland. Its cornerstone investment in Malin is the first investment to be completed by the ISIF since it was established. Malin is a newly-incorporated Irish-based global life sciences company which has raised €302 million by way of share placing at the time of its IPO, as well as having additional investment commitments of up to €28 million at that time. Malin’s IPO is one of the largest in the European biotech sector.
