McCann FitzGerald advises North Cork Co-operative Creameries on merger with Feale Bridge & Headley’s Bridge Co-operative Dairy Society
We advised North Cork Co-operative Creameries on its merger with Feale Bridge & Headley’s Bridge Co-operative Dairy Society. The merger is subject to approval by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
North Cork and Feale Bridge & Headley’s Bridge are friendly societies who already work closely together in a commercial dairy processing arrangement. North Cork processes over 250m litres of milk annually into a variety of value added dairy products and functional food ingredients, including 12.5m litres of milk supplied by producers of Feale Bridge & Headley’s Bridge.
Following the merger, the members of Feale Bridge & Headley’s Bridge will become full members of North Cork, and the current milk collection and processing arrangements will continue as normal.
