McCann FitzGerald Advises Beauparc on its Sale to Macquarie

We are advising Beauparc Utilities Holdings Limited (“Beauparc”), Ireland’s largest waste management company, and its shareholders, Eamon Waters, Blackstone through Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities business and Beauparc management, on its sale to Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 6 (“Macquarie”).

Beauparc is a recycling and processing led waste-to-resource business with a market leading position across Ireland, and a significant growing presence in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Beauparc-owned businesses serve over 340,000 residential, commercial, electricity and gas customers across a portfolio of 40 waste facilities, where more than three million tonnes of waste is processed each year. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed and completion of the transaction is subject to receipt of customary regulatory approvals.

The McCann FitzGerald team was led by Aidan Lawlor, Gill Lohan and Ben Gaffikin. This sell-side appointment on a very significant cross-broader transaction reflects the team’s experience in handling large, complex transactions. It also highlights the strength and depth of our practice, involving the seamless deployment of specialist advice in corporate, planning, environmental, real estate, financing, competition, IT/ data protection, tax, employment, pensions, and intellectual property.
