GDPR - One Year In

McCann FitzGerald hosted over 200 West Coast clients and contacts at events held in the offices of DocuSign in San Francisco and Google in Sunnyvale on 2 and 3 April.  The firm partnered with IDA Ireland, Google, DocuSign, Fitbit and Women in Security & Privacy (WISP) for these events.

Adam Finlay, Partner in our Technology & Innovation Group, joined John O’Dwyer and Dale Sunderland, Deputy Commissioners at the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC), to discuss GDPR implementation and the solutions we are recommending to clients with Gary McSharry, Partner and Head of our US Office, acting as moderator.  In addition, Laura Pirri, Senior Legal Director and Data Protection Officer at Fitbit, and Kenesa Ahmad, Co-Founder of WISP, gave their observations as US privacy professionals.
